The rectangular top with checkerboard veneer inset around central banding, the frieze with scrolling and silvered bronze mounts ,resting on square tapering legs, with finely chased silvered bronze mounts,terminating with sabots, with one leaf. Provenance- Aguttes, Paris. Jean Pascaud was a French designer known for his stunning art deco furniture and interior design. Hius work secured the Grand Prix at the International Exhibition of 1937and he was able to do almost all private commissions. He decorated suites on the ocean liners, the Normandy, The Pasteur, and then went on to do significant historical work throught France and Europe.
