The richly grained cabinets are not only stunning in their richly toned fronts and sides but also are utilitarian, each with 3 deep drawers ....capable of ample storage. The chests with their subtle bow-fronts sit upon a lemonwood inlayed frieze base adding to their unique beauty. Sold as a pair.Gilbert Rohde was a furniture and industrial designer who helped define American modernism during its first phase from the late 1920s to World War 2. He is known for inaugerating modern design at Herman Miller, Inc.
